Olympic Japan (日本オリンピック代表) is the team that represents Japan in the Madrid Olympics tournament.

Description[]

Olympic Japan is known as the official selection team of Japan for the Madrid Olympics tournament. It consists of 18 squad members, 4 backup members and 1 assistant back member[1]. As they don't have any overage players, the team is essentially U-23 Japan. The captain is Tsubasa Ozora.

Both uniforms are a modified version of the the 2014 FIFA World Cup uniforms worn by Japan, without the three stripes and with the flag of Japan replacing the JFA emblem as per IOC rules.

  • Home: Blue shirt with blue round collar, flag of Japan on the left side of the chest, white numbers and red sleeve cuffs, blue shorts and blue socks.
  • Away: White shirt with white round collar, flag of Japan on the left side of the chest, blue numbers and red sleeve cuffs, white shorts and white socks.
  • Keeper: Silver long sleeved shirt with silver round collar, blue curves running from the collar to the shoulders, Flag of Japan on the left side of the chest and blue numbers, silver shorts and socks.
