Eagle Shot (イーグルショット, īguru shotto), also known as Northland Shot (北国シュート, kitaguni shūto)[1] or Wild Eagle Shot (荒鷲ショット, īguru[2] shotto)[3] is Hikaru Matsuyama's signature technique, which is a long distance ground shot.

Description[]
The Eagle Shot is a powerful long distance shot with a low course, close to the ground, and is a good option against jumping players, especially a free kick's wall. This is especially useful if the opponents are expecting a high shot like the Drive Shot. To perform it, the user must have strong legs and loins.
Since this shot is a result of Hikaru Matsuyama's training in the Hokkaido snow, it is also called Northland Shot. The use of this name is exclusive to Matsuyama however, as other players like Tsubasa Ozora[4] and Carlos Santana[5] also manage to perform this shot without training in the snow.
During the Road to 2002 arc, Matsuyama shows to have improved his shot abilities and, according to Misugi as his opponent, Matsuyama's ability increases year by year, so that his Eagle Shot was even stronger than on the grade school years.
